Overview

The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and data migration activities for a new Workforce Management (WFM) system within a leading retail environment. The role involves extracting, transforming, and consolidating data from multiple legacy systems into a centralised core platform to enable accurate workforce planning and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support data migration activities from legacy workforce systems (e.g. eTime, Manos, Attos, Workday, Payroll) into the new WFM platform.
  • Conduct data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, including duplicates and incomplete records.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, HR, Payroll, and IT to define data and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to capture business processes, data needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and reporting for senior management.
  • Use Advanced Excel to manipulate large data sets, perform reconciliations, and create summaries and dashboards.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for project updates and executive reporting.
  • Provide accurate datasets for testing and training environments.
  • Track progress, prioritise workloads, and communicate risks effectively.
  • Collaborate using Jira and ServiceNow to monitor project deliverables and milestones

Experience

  • 4–7 years’ experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar consultancy role.
  • Proven ability to work independently, plan, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in retail, workforce management, or HR systems projects is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with data migration and integration projects, ideally involving workforce or HR systems.
  • Understanding of workforce scheduling, time and attendance, and HR processes within a retail context is a bonus.
  • Exposure to systems such as Manos, Attos, eTime, Workday, or UKG Pro is advantageous.
